The other day a friend asked me why I’m passionate about doing this work.

And I didn’t have a one-liner answer.
Because it is profoundly multidimensional for me.

So here’s a heart-scribe share about my love for this work and my calling + the possibilities of practicing regenerative power embodiment as badass, heart-centered leaders. 

 

Here's why I love doing Power Work

First and foremost, this work is an expression of my too-big-to-express love for humanity and all life on Earth.

I’m highly empathic and I feel it ALL — the pain, the extraction, the extinction, the oppression, the trauma, the wounding patterns through time AND the joy, the beauty, the pleasure, the love, the generosity, the delight, the wisdom, the generativity, the spirit, and the governing life principles that underlie the unbearable gorgeousness of creation/existence. This work is my effort to tip the scales towards the latter, in every being’s lived experience.

I love Power work because it is a liberation technology.

I love seeing people unburdened by their long suffering and the pain of looping in trauma and challenging material, as well as the resultant inability to access their greatest selves. I love hospicing Disconnection Consciousness and midwifing Connection Consciousness. I love sharing what I’ve learned on my journey so it may help others leap years, sometimes decades, in their evolution, healing, impact, and joy. It supercharges our capacity to work together to create benefit. I have a limitless fuel source in my spirit to advance liberation. And I happen to love doing it through the world of work, leaders, and teams.

I LOVE how effective Power Work is.

I love this work because for all the huge challenges on Earth that we’ve created, we need to collaborate and coordinate to address them. Here in this community we all know the power of groups and organizations and the potential of the world or work to source remedies. Having tried countless transformative approaches and methodologies over the course of 20+ years, this power work works to unlock people’s greater power (*their Power that Serves the Whole) in a way unlike anything else I’ve ever seen.

I LOVE RESULTS!

And omg how this work serves them up. As spiritual as some may regard this work to be (and it is!) — it is utterly practical and fully grounded in how we can show up differently as leaders and teammates (read: wildly more effectively). I’ve had the privileged front-row seat to see how dramatically this work has benefited so many people’s lives and indelibly changed them, making more space for their soul fire and unique gifts to burn brightly and uplift everyone in their teams and lives. It gives people language and skills to engage with the fundamental forces within our own beings so that we can become effective, intentional creators. The forces (I’m looking at you you, Shadow Power) that without understanding them will undermine every startup, every movement, every leader, every community, every regenerative or restorative effort, every new technology, and keep the cycles of suffering going.

I love loving people into their greater selves.

I love learning how to love people exquisitely in their wholeness. I love witnessing them in their courageous mythopoetic growth process, seeing the inspired creation and projects and initiatives that ultimately result— and cheering them every step of the way. I love doing multidimensional work that bridges the personal and professional, the sacred and the mundane, the individual and the Universal. Loving people’s wholeness and championing them in their process creates cascades of benefit across all scales from self to family, relationships, work, community, society, land and ecology, humanity, and Earth.

I love weaving deep relationships.

I love meeting, growing, and convening this community and allegiance of badass heart-centered leaders who are passionately dedicated to both benefiting the greater good through organizations and expanding into their fullness as human beings. And the sparkling delight you feel when you meet each other, realize you’re not alone, and start supporting each other. (*ps new community membership coming soon 🤩)

 

I love my work because it is fuuuuuun.

I’m great at it, it’s useful, and it feels good being useful. I love the feeling of aliveness, expansion, and inspired current that animates me while doing this work and serving others. For all the types of terrain we cross in power work, it is ultimately joyful, thrilling, and enlivening. Seeing you in new octaves of joy brings me joy.

I love being an artist AND being in methodical, iterative observation, experimentation, and refinement.

I have loved growing this body of work through time. I love how I have to grow and deepen my integrity to steward it. I am always making this work more effective, more distilled, more potent, more transformative, more accessible, and more easily integrated to uplevel how we work and live — in conversation with how the collective is evolving. And the scientist, alchemist, and craftswoman in me love this.

For example, I’ve completely rebuilt the entire business model over the last 20 months listening to what Wayfinding wants to become and what you most need.
