In order to make change happen, we NEED power. To conduct it well, we need to clean up our beliefs about power.

We are so powerful that we have convinced ourselves that we aren’t, that we can’t be, or that we don’t want to be. All from longtime imprinting of examples of power abuse and cultural forgetting about the regenerative capacity of power.

Out of an enormous fear of not wanting to be a power abuser and not knowing any other way forward, heart-centered leaders often end up directing the pain of their Shadow Power (the power that disconnects and causes harm) inward at themselves, giving their power away. 

This, my friend, is not the answer.
